MoonCal does not collect any personal data. The feed is a static calendar file served publicly. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

1. What MoonCal Is
MoonCal is a free, publicly accessible ICS calendar feed that provides full moon and new moon dates for a rolling two-year window. It is delivered as a standard calendar subscription URL. No user interaction beyond the initial subscription is required.
2. Data Collection
MoonCal does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Specifically, MoonCal does not collect:
- Personal information — no names, email addresses, or accounts of any kind
- Analytics or tracking — no analytics services, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting
- Location data — the calendar feed is not personalised to any location
- Usage data — no information about who subscribes to or fetches the feed is recorded
- Advertising identifiers — the service contains no advertising
3. Server Logs
Our server records abbreviated log entries for each request. IP addresses are anonymized by zeroing the last two octets (e.g. 11.22.33.44 becomes 11.22.0.0). Each log entry contains:
- Anonymized IP address
- Timestamp
- Request path and query parameters (timezone, category)
- HTTP status code
- User-agent string
Log files are rotated and deleted daily.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
MoonCal does not use cookies, local storage, session storage, or any other client-side tracking mechanism. The website does not set any persistent data in your browser.
5. No Accounts
There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration of any kind. The calendar feed is fully anonymous and publicly accessible to anyone with the URL.
6. Third-Party Services
MoonCal does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. All calendar data is calculated server-side using astronomical algorithms and served directly. No external APIs are called when generating the feed.
7. Children’s Privacy
MoonCal does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. Since no personal information is collected or required, no age verification is necessary.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your personal data. Since MoonCal does not collect any personal data, there is nothing to access, rectify, or delete.
